Terms of Service
Version 1.1 · Last updated: July 2026
Not a medical service
Still Here is a wellbeing companion, not a substitute for professional mental-health care, diagnosis, or treatment. If you're in crisis, use the Emergency screen or call 000 (AU).
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing here excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).
Age & consent
Designed for ages 13+. Users 13–17 use Youth mode. Adult-only content (relationship deep-dives, adult quizzes) is gated behind an 18+ confirmation at sign-up and stored with your consent record.
Your content & privacy
Anything you write belongs to you. Journal entries and chat messages are protected by row-level security — only you can read them from your account. See our Privacy Policy.
Premium subscription (AUD)
Still Here Premium is A$0.50 per week, billed automatically each week via Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd, after an initial 7-day free trial. You may cancel at any time from Premium → Manage subscription; access continues to the end of the current paid week. No refunds for partial weeks except where required by the Australian Consumer Law. Prices are inclusive of GST where applicable. Payment methods: Australian debit and credit cards. Card details are stored securely by Stripe; Still Here never sees full card numbers.
Money transfers between users
Peer-to-peer money transfers are governed by the Money Transfer Terms (AU). Recipients must complete identity verification (KYC) via our payments partner before receiving funds. Fees, caps and refund rights are set out in that document.
Friends, presence & birthdays
When you add a friend, your online status and (if you enable it) your date of birth are visible to that friend. You can revoke either at any time. You must not use friends features to harass, stalk, or contact anyone under 13. Blocking a user immediately removes the connection and prevents further contact through the app.
Trusted contact & crisis alerts
If you opt in to a Trusted Contact and our safety layer detects a high-severity distress signal (e.g. explicit self-harm intent) in your AI chat, we will email that person a short "please reach out" note. No chat content is ever shared. You may remove or change your trusted contact any time from Profile → Trusted Contact. This feature does not replace emergency services — always call 000 (AU) in an emergency.
Awards & prize draws
Streak awards are for engagement only and hold no cash value. Any monthly prize draw is conducted in accordance with the applicable NSW trade-promotion rules; full terms are published in-app before each draw opens.
Acceptable use
Use the app for your own wellbeing. No harmful, hateful, harassing, or illegal content on shared surfaces such as the Prayer Wall.
Data we email to the app owner
The app owner receives aggregate, anonymised usage statistics (total signups, daily active users, aggregate engagement) for the purpose of improving the service. We do not share the content of your journal, chat, or prayers with the app owner.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app grows. Meaningful changes will be highlighted in-app and require re-consent where legally required.
